We are THRILLED to welcome Meagan Duhamel to Winnipeg VegFest 2019! Meagan is a two-time World Champion figure skater, an Olympic Gold, Silver, and Bronze medalist, and a seven-time Canadian National Champion in pairs with her skating partner Eric Radford!
Fun fact: Megan and Eric made history during the 2014 Winter Olympics by becoming the first pair EVER to land a side-by-side triple Lutz jump!
So, what’s her secret?
Eight years ago, Meagan was out of shape and unhealthy. She lacked a knowledge of nutrition and had no idea where to begin. Then, veganism piqued her curiosity. So, she bought endless books and researched veganism intensely. She decided to give it a try. Meagan immediately experienced an incredible transformation in her health, mood, and outlook. She decided that veganism was the right way for her!
Thanks to her vegan lifestyle, Meagan competed in the 2014 and 2018 Olympic Winter Games and countless international competitions. During the 2014/2015 skating season, she and Eric Radford went UNDEFEATED in competition. Together, they won the World Championship, making all of Canada proud!
Away from the ice, Meagan is an animal lover, vegan yogi, and wife to renowned figure skating coach Bruno Marcotte. Meagan studied Holistic Nutrition with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and is currently finishing a Holistic Nutrition Program specializing in Sports and Fitness with Alive Academy. You can follow Meagan at Lutz of Greens!
And on Saturday, September 21, Meagan will be speaking at Winnipeg VegFest 2019
